Most people know Thailand is a popular climbing destination…it’s likely the most popular area in Asia with over 1200 routes established on Tonsai and Railay peninsula regions. Most days start along the walls Tonsai Roof and Dum’s Kitchen due to their morning shade and proximity to the hotels and bungalows. There are many classic hard climbs are here to project!

In the afternoon, many climbers head to the shaded walls on the left side of Tonsai. Here’s one of the most scenic views of Tonsai as seen from a classic 5.12a climb called Burnt Offerings on Fire Wall:

Crossing over to the more resort-style Railay / Railey side of the peninsula, you’ll find some great crags including The Keep and Thaiwand Wall.
